About Professional Standards Institute
September 2011 - Our 14-Year Anniversary!
Professional Standards Institute was established in 1997 and is dedicated to quality and the establishment, development, and preservation of high professional standards and ethics. We are committed to promoting high quality standards and not just turning out high numbers of certified individuals. Our specific focus is on vendor-neutral, role-based professional certifications and professional development training. We will be adding a new research component in the near future.
Our certification standards are developed and administered by the PSI Board of Certification. The Board of Certification is made up of Subject Matter Experts who are educated, certified, and have many years of experience in their field of specialty. Our Subject Matter Experts have at least a Masters Degree, 15 or more years of experience in their field, and teaching or training experience.
