Certified Information Technology Project Manager (PSI-CITPM)

Individuals earning the PSI Certified Information Technology Project Manager certification are professionals who have attained an advanced level of expertise and knowledge in Project Management, specializing in the Information Technology industry. It is highly recommended that you have at least 5 years of experience in your field prior to taking the test. The Associate Level Certification is for individuals with at least two years of experience in their field.

Professional Level Certification Requirements

  1. Certification Test: To receive your certification, you must pass the Certification Test with a minimum score of 75%. There are no time limits for taking the test. If a passing score is not achieved, you may retake the test after a 30 day waiting period. You may retake the test one time at no cost. If you do not pass the re-take test, you must wait 3 months to retake the test. After the 3 month waiting period, you must re-register and pay the initial certification fee. The certification test is constructed to measure "Real World" expertise and knowledge. Thus, it is highly recommended that you should have at least five years in your field prior to taking the test.

  2. Code of Professional Standards and Ethics: Applicants must accept and follow the Code of Professional Standards and Ethics.

  3. Certification Fee: The Certification Fee must be submitted with your application. Please note that this fee is non-refundable. The certification fee is $60. The re-certification fee is $50 every two years.

  5. Certification Fee: The Certification Fee must be submitted with your application. Please note that this fee is non-refundable. The certification fee is $30. The re-certification fee is $25 every two years.

Test Subjects Covered

The certification test is constructed to measure "Real World" expertise and knowledge. It is a vendor-neutral test, so specific book-learning on a particular project management philosophy may not help you pass the test.
