  Certification Requirements

Competence

Below are the requirements for certification. Certifications are earned in two phases: (1) Eligibility Phase, and (2) Competency Assessment Phase.

Phase 1 establishes your eligibility. In Phase 2, your skills competency will be assessed. When you successfully complete both phases, you will earn your certification.

  Eligibility Requirements (Phase 1)

The purpose of the Eligibility Requirements Phase is to assess your background to determine your eligibility to apply for certification. This includes an assessment of your experience and education to determine if you have the minimum background requirements for the next phase. We place a higher emphasis on experience. No fee is assessed to determine your eligibility in phase 1.
